Hen Parties at the Thermae Bath Spa

Hen Parties at the Thermae Bath Spa are more than welcome.  The amazing Thermae Bath Spa is located in the heart of Bath, close to Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths and is featured on all the main pedestrian signposts.

During the week there are time slots available to book but at weekends the spa operates a queuing system.  If you want to visit at a weekend then it’s advisable to avoid peak hours as the spa gets very busy and the queue to get in may be longer.  These times are 11am until 3pm.

Hen parties at the Thermae Bath Spa

Your hen parties can enjoy a relaxing 2 or 4 hours in the New Royal Spa.  As part of your session you will have access to:

Minerva Bath
This is the largest of the thermal baths. The massage jet, whirlpool and ‘lazy river’ operate on a timed cycle.

Open-air rooftop pool
By day and by night, the views over the City and surrounding hills are superb. The air seats and neck massage jet work on a cycle.

Aroma steam rooms & waterfall shower
Each of the steam rooms is infused with an essential oil such as eucalyptus or frankincense. In addition, you can be drenched in the ‘waterfall shower’ which operates on a cycle. Cold showers are also available.

Springs Café & Restaurant
Here spa users can enjoy delicious meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day and evening. Any food or drinks in the Restaurant are charged to your SmartBand and paid for on exit. Robes should be worn in the Restaurant.

Towels, robes and slippers are included in our prices.  And please remember to take your swim suits!

Water machines provide drinking water free of charge.  There is also a cafe where you can buy food and drinks on the day.

Pregnant ladies

Pregnant ladies should definitely avoid using the steam rooms and therefore will unfortunately not be able to use the foot baths as these are located in the steam rooms themselves.

The water is 35 degrees C. Generally this temperature is fine for pregnant ladies, but they have had one case where a doctor has advised them not to go in water above 25 degrees C. It may be worth checking with your doctor first.

If you don’t want to commit to a specific time slot we can give you vouchers you can use at anytime.  On arrival you will need to queue but please note, the spa is busiest between 11am and 3pm, we strongly advise you to arrive by 10am and please arrive in groups of 6 a few minutes apart – the spa prefers to limit entry numbers to six at a time to avoid overloading the changing facilities.

Exclusive use of the Cross Bath

You could upgrade the package and have exclusive use of the Cross Bath @ Thermae Bath Spa.  The Cross Bath is located next to the main building and is a totally private spa for your group.  It is limited to groups of 10 or less.  You will have exclusive use of this for 1.5 hours.

The Cross Bath is open air so if you have used the New Royal Bath beforehand you may want to take an extra dry towel for use around the Cross Bath.  Due to health and safety you will not be allowed to drink alcohol whilst sitting in the bath so may need a warm towel for when sitting around the bath.

We include Champagne (or Prosecco) and Canapés as part of this package option.  You will have this served to you next to the spa.  Other food options are available.
